In Partnership with Empowerment Construction & Development (ECD)

7TH & Madison Cares Inc. provides home modifications and remediation services through a partnership with Empowerment Construction & Development (ECD). These services are designed to help individuals with disabilities, seniors, and medically fragile individuals access safe, accessible, and stable housing environments.

Together with ECD, we coordinate and deliver:

• ADA-compliant accessibility upgrades
• Environmental remediation (e.g., mold, lead, safety hazards)
• Aging-in-place modifications (e.g., grab bars, ramps, bathroom conversions)
• Repairs that support housing retention and long-term safety

All modifications are performed by licensed professionals and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Our goal is to ensure that every home supports comfort, independence, and long-term stability.

At 7TH & Madison Cares Inc., our Tenancy team plays a vital role in helping individuals achieve long-term housing stability. Through a hands-on, person-centered approach, we assist members with navigating housing support systems, accessing funding opportunities, and coordinating services that promote independence.

Our tenancy support empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their care, build sustainable living arrangements, and connect with community-based resources. We believe a safe and supportive environment is the foundation of a fulfilling life—and we’re dedicated to making that a reality for every member we serve.

While we do not directly provide human services, we collaborate with trusted partners to ensure every individual has the tools, connections, and modifications they need to thrive in their home and community.

Until our housing development mission is fully realized, we proudly provide the following services:

• Housing Support Services: Including housing navigation, advocacy, and move-in supports to assist individuals and families in securing and sustaining safe housing.
• Home Modifications & Remediation: Delivered in partnership with Empowerment Construction & Development (ECD), these services improve safety, accessibility, and aging-in-place readiness for individuals with disabilities, seniors, and medically fragile individuals.
• Advocacy & Community Engagement: Helping members navigate public systems, overcome barriers, and access long-term solutions.

We are actively fundraising and building partnerships to advance our vision of affordable housing development.
