Mission Statement – 7TH & Madison Cares Inc.

At 7TH & Madison Cares Inc., our mission is "Transforming Lives Through Stable Housing, One Person at a Time." We work to end homelessness and promote housing stability by providing tenancy support and coordinating housing support services, including home modifications and accessibility upgrades for vulnerable individuals.

Through our partnership with Empowerment Construction & Development (ECD), we deliver aging-in-place solutions and environmental improvements that support seniors, individuals with disabilities, and other at-risk populations. All modifications are completed by licensed professionals in compliance with ADA standards and person-centered design.

We are committed to building safe, functional, and inclusive housing solutions that help individuals live independently and thrive in their communities.

Headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, 7TH & Madison Cares Inc. is dedicated to ending homelessness and empowering our members on the path to self-sufficiency and lasting success. We provide a range of comprehensive programs and partnerships that foster independence and encourage individuals to become engaged, active participants in their communities.

We believe that housing is a human right. As of January 31, 7TH & Madison Cares Inc., in partnership with 7TH & Madison Extensions of Empowerment, has contributed to a 42.3% reduction in unsheltered homelessness among adults across New Jersey, including those diagnosed with Autism, developmental disabilities, and complex conditions. This impact has been achieved through intensive case management, support coordination, brokerage services, and housing placement.

100 PERCENT OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE SECURED PERMANENT HOUSING AND RECEIVED INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES MAINTAINED SERVICES SINCE 2018. OUR COMMITMENT TO LASTING SUPPORT AND STABILITY DRIVES US TO PROVIDE CONTINUOUS, PERSONALIZED CARE THAT HELPS OUR MEMBERS REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. THROUGH RELIABLE AND ACCESSIBLE SERVICES,

100 PERCENT OF INDIVIDUALS HAVE MAINTAINED SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS AS OF 2024.

93 PERCENT OF MEMBERS SERVED HAVE MAINTAINED CONSISTENT ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, INCLUDING MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT & TREATMENT, SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT, LEGAL AID, VETERANS' SERVICES, ADVOCACY, AND HOUSING SUPPORTS.

93 PERCENT OF MEMBERS SERVED MAINTAINED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AND RECEIVED MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT & TREATMENT, SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT, LEGAL AID, VETERANS' SERVICES, ADVOCACY, AND HOUSING. WE HELP INDIVIDUALS THRIVE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES YEAR AFTER YEAR.

IN 2024, NEW JERSEY'S ANNUAL POINT-IN-TIME COUNT IDENTIFIED 12,680 INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS, REPRESENTING A 24% INCREASE FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR.
